Dell%20introduces%20new%20Core%202%20Duo%20systems.jpgDell has announced the availability of the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor in all XPS and Precision mobile workstations as well as select Inspiron and Latitude notebook systems. Since the Core 2 Duo processor is pin compatible with the Core Duo processor, manufacturers can easily upgrade systems without needing new system designs.

The following Dell systems will now offer the Intel Core 2 Duo processor immediately:

  • XPS M2010 starting at $3500
  • XPS M1710 starting at $2300
  • XPS M1210 starting at $1200
  • Inspiron E1705 starting at $1124
  • Dell Precision M90 starting at $2239
  • Dell Precision M65 starting at $1849

    You'll be able to add Core 2 Duo processors to the Inspiron E1505 and E1405 later this week and then to the Latitude D820, D620, and D520 starting next week.

  • Scan, copy, fax functions
  • Print speeds of up to 25 ppm mono and 19ppm color
  • 50 sheet auto document feeder
  • Wireless printing with Wi-Fi enabled Dell notebook computers and the optional Dell Wireless Printer Adapter 3300
  • 4800x1200 dpi resolution
  • Direct printing from camera with PictBridge connection
