Cowon iAudio F2 Flash-Based Digital Audio Player
Cowon has come up today with a new digital player for their iAudio F series, the F2 has a cool design and bright display - and much more. It doesn't only play audio but video and FM radio too, pictures (jpg) and text can also be seen on the device, maybe the size of the screen display could be better -1.3-inches and a 160x128 resolution is a little small to read some text.
The quantity of audio file formats that the iAudio F2 supports is enormous compared to other players, I don't see many being able to play FLAC and OGG files so that must be a good thing, additionally the normal WMA and MP3 formats are of course playable, in case you want to make the listening experience a better one, there are different sound field effects you can chose to match the music you're listening. The features related with time are gracious, besides having a simple alarm clock it also has the option to set up a schedule and the player will start recording at that specific time. On the bottom of the phone we got the USB jack, while on the top there are two jackets, one for the earphones and the other for line in.
There are three different models in terms of storage capacity that can go from (unusable) 512MB, to 2GB with the middle option of 1GB. The battery can last up to 22 hours but this performance can be improved if you don't make much use of the LCD screen, or lower its battery consumption by shortening the auto off time and the brightness levels.
