Press Release:

Chicago based Cobra Electronics (NASDAQ:COBR) today announces the availability of its next generation device in its growing line of mobile navigation products, the NAV ONE 2500. With the technology of a high-end GPS system in a compact design and at an affordable price, the NAV ONE 2500 signals the next wave of portable, plug-and-go, in-car navigation devices.

Once again, Cobra is making a bold move in the mobile navigation market with industry firsts, including its My Favorite Brands feature. Accessible with one touch, this exclusive feature stores over 600 brands in categories such as restaurants, large retail chains and famous coffee shops, providing drivers with easy access to well-known national destinations.

"The world of options for navigation products continues to grow. However, Cobra believes it's most important for drivers to select a device that offers key elements, especially when it comes to features focused on safety, such as glanceability and voice guidance," said Tony Mirabelli, senior vice president of marketing, Cobra Electronics. "The NAV ONE 2500 offers the perfect combination of portability, features and the right price -- a great mix for someone buying a GPS system for the first time."

Additionally, the NAV ONE 2500 is traffic-ready, offering the richest traffic information available today, all at the driver's fingertips. With the optional traffic receiver and subscription, users receive up-to-the-minute traffic information in 50 major metropolitan areas with four color-coded levels of traffic flow. The patent pending Compare Routes feature displays routing alternatives along with estimated time to destination, which takes into account current traffic flows.

Extreme temperatures will no longer be a concern for drivers using the NAV ONE 2500. Cobra's new device also offers the widest temperature functionality range over any other manufacturer with product functionality from minus 4 degrees to 158 degrees, especially appealing for drivers in cold or extremely hot climates.

The NAV ONE 2500 provides one of the brightest displays on the market in a three-and-a-half inch, high resolution touch screen. Other key features include millions of interest points, 2D or 3D mapping, and driver-controlled speed warnings.

The NAV ONE 2500 is available at major retailers throughout North America at an MSRP of $499. The optional real-time traffic feature is $99.95 with an annual traffic service subscription fee of $59.99 a year. The NAV ONE is the first in a series of products that will be introduced over the next several months employing proprietary technology from Cobra Electronics.

Cobra's mobile navigation products have won accolades from consumers and reviewers alike. In January, the company's NAV ONE 4500, the first product fully integrated with real-time traffic, was named a Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Showcase honoree in the Vehicle/Mobile Electronics category.
