With GPS Navigational devices cropping up by the minute, men will never have to ask for directions again and thus keep their fragile egos intact. But seriously let’s look at the Clarion N.I.C.E P200 for our American friends where the N.IC.E stands for Navigation and In-Car Entertainment (nice!). This one looks pretty rugged and yet compact and promises to be the ideal portable GPS navigation system with a built-in cradle GPS antenna.

When it comes to features, the P200 has all the usual stuff like Multiple Mapping Views: 2D, 3D and Split Screen, Turn-By-Turn Voice Prompts, a whopping 2 million POIs, rechargeable battery and a USB 2.0 Port among others. However this is not where it ends and the P200 does impress us with its multimedia capabilities.

For starters the N.I.C.E P200 has a 20GB Hard Disc Drive and is equipped with a 4-inch Digital Touch-Screen TFT LCD Monitor. The display is sharp and one can not only view all their navigational information but also enjoy video and photo playback. The GPS device is also outfitted with built in speakers and includes a 3.5mm Headphone jack. It plays almost all the multimedia formats that counts including; MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG, WMV, MPEG, AVI and Xvid. However DivX support is lacking.

The N.I.C.E P200 comes bundled with a Suction Cup Window Mount and includes a Cradle with Built-in GPS Antenna. It includes a 4,000 capacity address book, maps of US and Canada, voice prompts, multiple route selection options , mapping views, instant recall of last 40 destinations and on-screen Compass and Distance Indicators.
