Cingular LG CU500 3G Phone
Cingular Wireless has launched the new HSDPA-capable LG CU500 3G phone, along with the Cingular 3G network which uses the HSDPA and UMTS technology. CU500 touts an internal 65K color TFT with resolutions of 176 x 220 pixels and external 65K color TFT with resolutions of 96 x 96 pixels. The quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone sports a 1.3 megapixel rotating camera with video conferencing capability and it could zoom up to 4X (camera) or 2X (video). Taking a clear picture and video won't be a problem for CU500 because of its highest picture resolutions of 1280 x 960 and video resolutions of 320 x 240. You will be able to store up to 60 photos with the biggest resolutions size and 2,300 photos with resolutions of 160 x 120. 14 minutes of video recording should be enough: 15 fps @ 176 x 144. CU500 also features a music player with external controls, customizable equalizer and visualization. Fire up your CU500 for a small music party won't slow you down with the built-in dual speaker for 3D stereo sound. The support file formats for audio are MP3, WMA, AAC, ACC+ and video format is 3GP. I got to admit this phone is fully-packed with a bunch of additional features and capabilities such as microSDTM memory card slot, Bluetooth connectivity for the handset, hands-free, dial-up networking and advanced audio distribution, instant messenger (AOL, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and ICQ), voice memo recording, voice recognition capability and MobiTV & MobiRadio, you will be able to stream TV & digital radio service straight from the phone. You can record short music and send it over the service via the MusicID and it will reply you with the music title. The pre-installed personal organizer tools will just blow you away (Calendar with Scheduler, Alarm Clock, Notepad, Tasks, D-Day Counter, Calculator, Tip Calculator, World Clock, Stop Watch, Unit Converter, Date Finder) and the 500 entries of picture phonebooks would be able to store up to 5 numbers with 2 e-mail addresses each. When you on a flight you can always use the flight mode feature so it won't interrupt any networks. If you are looking for a superb multimedia phone then LG CU500 would be the best for you. It weights only 3.70 oz with the size of 3.80" x 1.95" x 0.76". No words on the pricing yet.
