The New VK Series Of Mobile Phones

vkmobile-vk200.gifToday in Las Vegas at the CITA Wireless show, InfoSonics Corporation unveiled its latest line of VK mobile cellular handsets for 2006. All the handsets feature a trendy and sleek design and include a number of multimedia features including MP3 player, Bluetooth data transfer, memory expansion and quad band capability for global use. These phones are now available in United States, Canada and Latin America and now let’s look at them individually for more details.

The first in line is the VK200, a sleek bar phone which bears an uncanny resemblance Motorola V8 RAZR. It dimensions are 105 x 48 x 11 mm and includes a built in VGA, 640x480 pixels camera and video. It also includes a MP3 player and supports AAC and can run on the GSM900 / GSM1800 network.GPRS, USB, WAP and Java Applications are some other features found on the VK200.

vk-4000.jpgThe next phone to be release is the VK1010 which sports a very funky design and comes in vibrant colours.Compatible with GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 network, it includes two display and internal and external screen. It supports messaging formats like SMS, EMS, and MMS and includes a built in VGA, 640x480 pixels camera. Other features found o9n the phone include; a MP3 player, USB, GPRS and Polyphonic ring tones.

Another phone to be announced by InfoSonics is the VK2000 which is also a slim bar phone and includes an incredible 4 MP camera. It supports GSM 900/1800/1900 & 850/1800/1900 MHz networks and include features like MPEG4 video, Java MIDP 2.0, messaging, USB 1.1.

VK2020.jpgThen there is the VK2030, which is also a slim bar phone and includes a MP3 player, T-flash external memory, photo phonebook, Bluetooth Connectivity, PC sync and a 1.3 Mega Pixel camera. Right now there no more details available for this particular handset.

The VK4000 is a phone targeted at all those people in the in crowd and features a very cool and hip design. It has GSM900 / GSM1800 / GSM1900 / GSM850 Network support and sports a flip design. It includes a built in VGA, 640x480 pixels camera and an Mp3 Player. Other features found on the phone include; JAVA, T-flash external memory, Bluetooth, GPRS, USB and WAP Browser.

Last but definitely not the least is the sleek and exclusive VK5000 phone which includes a host of premium features. This phone also ahs a built in 1.3 MP Camera and can record MPEG Videos at 15fps. It includes support for networks like GSM900 / GSM1800 / GSM1900 / GSM850 and also boasts of a MP3 Player. Some other standard features include; JAVA MIDP 2.0, Bluetooth, GPRS, USB, Photo phonebook and WAP Browser.

FCC approved: VK Mobile Phones VK2010 and VK2020

b1.bmpFCC approved both VK Mobile Phones VK2010 and VK2020. Both the models are of 262k color displays and includes enough NAND flash memory to store music and its 0.35” thickness catches attention.

The main features of VK2010 are,

Ø 160x128 pixels, 262k color OLED display in landscape mode
Ø 0.5 or 1GB of NAND flash memory

VK, Participant in CeBIT 2006, the World's Largest ICT Trade Fair

It's hotting up now already with just three days left for CeBIT 2006 held in Hannover, Germany. Little known VK mobile, one of the Korean leading manufacturers of mobile handsets, today announced that it will be exhibiting, not 1, not 2 but 17 models at the CeBIT 2006. Among the four models that were revealed are the VK 2000, a winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award from Germany in 2006. In addition to base-band chips for GSM/GPRS mobile handsets produced by VMTS, French R&D's subsidiary, VK will show how it's complete product family is achieved through vertical integration. Including such things as mobile computing technology enabling mobile phone users to access networks and carry on business. The 4 models that were revealed are the VK 2000, Vk 2200, VK 5000 and the VK 700C models. Lets take a look at the four models one-by-one. VK will sit alongside Nokia and Motorola at CeBIT, but with an award winning model in their kitty, it will draw some attention from visitors, but its no secret that they have their work cut out and have a quiet a task on their hands.

VK 2000:
The VK 2000 is basically a GSM 900/1800/1900 phone, which boasts of extremely slim design with measurement of just 8.8mm thick. It is low end phone in a classical form-factor. It is also the world's lightest phone weighing just around 48g, thanks for the metal keypads instead of the conventional ones. It easily fits into your wallet just like any of your credit card does. On the conectivity side it has WAP 1.2.1, GPRS and MMS.

VK 2200 and VK 5000:
Well, this also comes under the category of slim-zone. The phone is powered by a whopping 4 MegaPixel CMOS camera. It includes an MP3 player as well supporting the MPEG4 format. With all these it has a depth of just 12mm, now thats a lot small for a camera phone. The Vk 5000 is a similar phone equipped with the EDGE chip (2.75 G) enhancing data transfer rates.

VK 700C:
The 700C is a CDMA phone with a slim slide design. It features an high-speed data transfer (Maximum: 2.4 Mb/Sec). It comes with an incorporation of MSM 6500 Chipset and boasts of a Main 2.0?262K Color TFT LCD (QVGA). It is powered by a 1.3 MegaPixel CMOS camera and comes with an internal memory of 128MB which can be extended upto 1GB as well. With its slim design that makes use of an intenna, it has all the functions necessary to be a premium quality mobile phone. Other features include MP3 player, VOD services, 64 polyphonic sounds and PC sync capability.

VK To Exhibit VK 700C CDMA Phone at CeBIT

VK is all set to exhibit not one, not two, but 17 models at the CeBIT held at Hannover, Germany. One of the models out of four that were revealed is, the VK 700C, an EV-DO ( Evolution Data Only) CDMA phone.

The VK 700C boasts of a very slim design. It is a real slim-slide mobile phone with advanced features. It is powered by a 1.3 Megapixel CMOS camera, which enables for takin high quality pictures and videos. It has a Main 2.0 262K Color TFT LCD (QVGA) and comes with an incorporation of MSM 6500 chipset. It also comes with a whopping 128MB memory which can be stretched up to 1GB as well. Also the function side includes, VOD / MOD, 1.3 Mega Pixel CMOS Camera with Mirror and Intenna Type for Elegant Looking External Memory for Data Storage (T-Flash).

VK To Showcase VK 2000 GSM Phone at CeBIT

Its hotting up now, with just about three more days left for this year's CeBIT, held in Hannover, Germany. Little known VK Mobile, one of the leading Korean manufacturers of mobile handsets in Korea, announced today that it will be showcasing 17 models at the CeBIT held in Hannover, Germany. Among them is the award winning V2000 GSM phone.

The VK 2000 is basically a low end phone in a classical form-factor. It boasts of a sleeky design measuring just 8.8mm thick. It was given a prestigious the Red-Hot design award. It is a a "2.75 generation" EDGE (Enhanced Data rate for FSM Evolution) phone whose transfer rate is three times faster than GPRS phones. On the connectivity it has GPRS, WAP 1.2.1 and MMS. Sitting along side Nokia and Motorola at CeBIT, its quiet obvious that its not going to be easy, but with a prestigious award in its kitty, it may gain some attention from the visitiors.

VK Mobile launches line of 4 Slim Phones

Up and coming Korean phone manufacturer VK Mobile has released four slim phones targeted at the global market including China and Europe. VK is known for releasing the VK 2000, claimed to be the world's slimmest and lightest cell phone last September.

The VK2010, VK2100 models are bar-type, 8.8mm super slim phones that feature Bluetooth and multimedia capabilities. The VK2100 sports 2GB of built-in memory while the the VK2010 has 512MB of memory.

The VK3100 on the other hand is a 14.9mm slim clam shell. It also supports MP3, Bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixel digital camera. They are calling it the multi-tasking phone. It has 1GB of memory. Sharing almost identical features is theVK4500 which is a slider-type phone.

All except the VK2100 go on sale in China and Europe this month. The VK2100 is set for a February 2006 release. Via VK Mobile.
