    Samsung SYNC Review - Video

The good folks of Phone Scoop have done a video review of the Samsung SYNC and dig the handset for its sleek ergonomics, its large QVGA screen, its large keypad and its ability to hold onto a signal. What the folks were not thrilled about was the audio performance of the handset and performance when it came to music playback, photography and Java was lacking.

The Sync is a quad-band GSM phone and takes advantage of Cingular's new HSDPA network allowing customers to experience broadband-like speeds on their cell phones. Via the dedicated Cingular Music key, you can access the online music shop right from the comfort of your handset.

In the end the guys at Phone Scoop conclude " The Sync represents a significant step forward for Cingular's 3G line up, whether judging based on data speed, looks or performance. In addition to the how well it handles standard tasks, especially browsing, it also performs well on advanced 3G applications like streaming video. Sadly, it falls short on many tasks like music playback, photography and Java performance when compared to many 2G phones, let alone 3G ones."

HTC Kaiser Phone - CES Special

htc_kaiser_thumb4.jpgWith the impending CES Show, more and more companies are unveiling their new products. The latest one to do so is HTC which have big plans for their upcoming HTC Kaiser Phone .

The HTC Kaiser Phone design wise, seeks inspiration from popular HTC TyTN and HTC P4350 handsets. The Kaiser will be a high end smartphone with features like;3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 400Mhz Processor. Nothing else is known about the Kaiser and we have to wait for CES for more updates!

"Another keyboard model, which is supposed to be issued in spring, is HTC Kaiser. Its form-factor is already known on HTC TyTN and HTC P4350 (Herald). Actually, it will be a slightly modified and advanced TyTN, which will have a GPS receiver in addition to the same QVGA-screen, the support of 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a powerful processor (400Mhz). It is a compelled step as the HTC cannot compete with the E-Ten, which sells Glofiish X500 and Glofiish M700. The only device with similar characteristics is HTC P3300 with a weak 200 MHz processor."
