Calypso Wireless C1250i WiFi-GSM VoIP Cellular Phone

C1250i WiFi-GSM VoIP Cellular PhoneCalypso Wireless is all set to demonstrate the C1250i WiFi-GSM VoIP Cellular Phone and the ASNAP Seamless Mobility Session Controller at the 3GSM World Congress 2006 trade show in Barcelona, Spain from February 13 to 16, 2006.

The C1250i is one hot phone to own. It runs on the state-of-the-art Intel PXA processors and Microsoft Windows CE 5.0. It's capable of seamlessly connecting to both GSM and Wi-Fi networks. It's in fact the first product to do so. You can connect to the Internet at a blazing 11 Mbps - 200 times faster than any other wireless service available in the United States. Couple this with its video capabilities (30 fps) and you can do real-time phone-to-phone video-conferencing. Amazing! As Calypso says, "This is the mobile phone of the future TODAY!"

The Calypso ASNAP Session Controller, the first Open Source Seamless Mobility solution, enables the seamless roaming of voice, video and data between Wide Area Network access points, such as cellular towers (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA, WCMDA etc.) and short-range Internet access points (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.). It should receive great interest from mobile carriers and ISPs.

I just can't wait for the 3GSM sessions to start.
