The Casio EXILIM EX-Z60 ZOOM was announced by Casio in advance of the annual PMA today and from the looks of it Casio has another winner on their hands. The Casio EX-Z60 sports a 6MP image sensor with a 3Xoptical zoom and is mainly for the amateur user who likes his photography uncomplicated and fun without losing the image quality.
The Casio EXILIM EX-Z60 has a 2.5 inch TFT LCD which makes for convenient outdoor and indoor viewing. The EX-Z60 prints upto A3 prints and the 3x optical zoom in conjunction with a 4x digital zoom comes to an impressive 12 x zoom. The Z60 has an inbuilt memory of 8.3 MB which can be further expanded to ones need. It also features upto 33 pre programmed scenarios and can record still image with sound too. Like all its siblings in the EXILIM line the Casio EX-Z60 also features the celebrated Anti Shake DSP technology. With DSP users don’t have to worry about camera shakes and blurry pictures. The Z60 also has what Casio’s calls Easy Mode which cuts down options for novices and makes their life simpler.
The Rapid Flash in the Z60 takes upto 3 images per second and the maximum ISO setting is 800.Small movies can also be recorded in AVI and Motion JPG format and can be playback on the camera too. Focus modes on the Z60 include auto, macro, pan, and manual and infinity mode. There is a built in speaker and microphone too to avail the voice recording function. Another great function is the Quick Shutter where time between pressing the shutter and shooting starting is now only 0.002 seconds making it ideal for action shots. No word on pricing but the z60 will hit the American markets soon.
