Canon ZR700 MiniDV Camcorder
The Canon ZR700 MiniDV Camcorder from Canon was unveiled at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show. With an SD/MMC memory slot, the ZR700 not only shoots videos, but can also capture digital still images and store them on the card. It uses a 1.6" CCD with 680k pixels.
With a higher capacity battery, you can carry around the ZR700 for longer durations, and you get a taste of the supported video light as well. With 25x optical zoom and massive 1000x digital zoom, the DIGIC DV Image Processor is claimed to delivery high-clarity images and videos.
Both USB and IEEE 1394 are supported. The menu system is easily navigated on the 2.7" LCD thanks to a joystick interface. With Level Shot Control, a consumer will not have to worry about crooked video, while Smooth Zoom Control ensures short jerks do not mess with the video when zooming in.
With PictBridge compatibility, one can even take printouts of photographs on the memory card without a PC.
