Cadillac DTS

Cadillar DTS is a pleasure to view from the outside and probably on the inside too, while it doesn’t have the most impressive specifications on some areas, in other more important areas it’s better than most cars. One of the problems is the length, being 208 inches means 5 meters and that is an impressive achievement, it must be a total headache to find a parking spot with a car this big, another negative point is the suspension which according to technoride (the folks that reviewed the DTS) is too soft, and the interior fit-and-finish could be better for a vehicle worth $50,000. To make things a bit even there is a V8 Northstar engine that receives 5 stars, and an optional system called MagnMagneRidet makes the car ride differently depending on the road conditions.
Now onto the really good stuff, the OnStar Turn-By-Turn navigation system that comes with the Cadillac DTS is unique and very useful, the DTS is one of the first cars implementing the system. There are 3 different setups for the system, but the basic comes with lockout help, stolen vehicle tracking, airbar deployment notification, Safe & Sound plan making a total of $200 per year, another setup adds help when you have navigation problems, for $400 a year you will have the Directions & Connection plan. The last setup doesn’t have a price so far, with this system the navigation gets much easier:
call the OnStar advisor and explain where you want to go; the operator downloads trip information to a rudimentary GPS system that has turn-by-turn voice instructions plus a one- or two-line display ("Elm Street 0.4 miles"), and perhaps a directional arrow.
