The first thing we associate with Bono apart from the iconic band U2 is his passion for charitable causes. Bono the genius that he is (and I just don’t mean his music) has come up with a novel way to empty the pockets of the rich by tying up with Motorola. He with Motorola has launched a red version of the popular Motorola SLVR model which symbolizes solidarity and fight against AIDS. Pretty noble might we add and for now the phone would only be available in the UK. UK retailers will contribute a part of the sales revenue to AIDS FUND started by Bono and Motorola. In fact the British mobile operators will contribute 5% of the monthly phone bill of the Red SLVR to the fund also. It’s so nice to see technology getting used for the right purposes!
