BenQ P50 PDA Phone
Wow! It's been over a year since BenQ announced the gorgeous P50 at CES2005. It's finally on sale in the UK. The wait has been worth it. The P50 is touted as the PDA phone for business users with sophisticated taste. Let's try and figure out why.
The GSM (quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) P50 runs on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 2003. It's powered by an Intel PXA272 416Mhz processor and packs-in 64MB of SDRAM and 64MB of Flash ROM. That's a powerful platform to run on. The display is a generous 2.83" QVGA TFT LCD with touch screen and supports a resolution of 240 x 320. It's quite compact at 122 x 60 x 20 mm and weighs a 170 grams.
The integrated 1.3 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom takes care of your mobile photography needs. The P50 can handle most of the major audio/video formats for playback. You can even set MP3 clips to be your ringtones. Connectivity options are aplenty. You can choose from WLAN, GPRS, Bluetooth, IrDA, USB, and SDIO. It comes with all the standard applications that you would expect out of a PDA/Phone. Talk time is estimated at 4 hours and standby time at 120 hours.
You can grab the black colored BenQ P50 now if you can shell out £365 (handset only) or for free with some hefty Vodafone contracts from Expansys.
