Belkin F5U265 Notebook Expansion Dock

Belkin unveiled its new Notebook Expansion Dock (F5U265). The dock connects to your laptop's ExpressCard port, and effectively quadruples bandwidth for your USB 2.0 devices. You can also run high-quality videos without affecting bandwidth to other USB devices.

The vertical positioning of the dock ensures a space-saving design, but get this: Belkin says this also prevents people from placing their laptops on the top of the docking station. The dock also uses convection to minimize buildup of heat from the dock's GPU.

The Notebook Expansion Dock, a first of its kind, offers 1600x1200 resolution in full 32-bit color, as well as an additional USB lane. It is compatible with most DVD-player software, and is ready for Windows Vista. It provides VGA and DVI ports, and 5.1 surround sound.

Priced at US $199.99, the Belkin F5U265 Notebook Expansion Dock will hit the stores in November in the US, with other markets to follow soon.
