7.23.06---voya-350.jpgAveratec, a company which is an expert in mobile technology products launched its first product for the consumer electronics market with the Voya 350 handheld personal navigation. The slim yet lightweight Voya 350 is based on the latest Microsoft Windows CE operating system and powered by 300MHz Samsung S3C2440A RISC microprocessor, the black and silver Voya 350 features an embedded SiRF III high-performance GPS receiver, together with ultra-sensitive, built-in helical antenna. It brags a 3.5-inch wide view TFT LCD with resolutions of 320 x 240 as well as touch screen capability. It is pre-loaded with the popular NAVTEQ street-level map data and covers the entire U.S. and Canada. It includes a database of more than 1.6 million points of interest such as businesses, amusement parks, state and national landmarks, banks, hotels, airports, gas stations, ATMs and restaurants. Other than that, it has built-in 18pi speaker and a 3,5 stereo headphone jack. A stylus pen is included as well as the software keyboard. The navigation device will recalculate the shortest route to the destination if the driver takes the wrong turn. Too bad it doesn't has any internal memory but a SD/MMC memory card slot is included. The rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery could last up to 4 hours of continuous operation time. The Averatec Voya 350 will be available with the street price of USD399 to USD429.
