Averatec is releasing a new series of laptops called the 2300 Series. The 2300 series will be very thin (1 inch thick!), feature 12-inch widescreens, and are the first line to incorporate dual-core processing and Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition.

These are designed for the laptop era and are capable of handling many applications, as well as online entertainment. So you can enjoy work, music, photos, television, games, or Internet all at one sleek source.

Other features include the AMD Turino 64 X2 Dual Core Mobile Processor, built-in Wireless Lan and Dual Layer DVD burner, and a 4-in-1 Media Card Reader. Ports include 3 USBs, a 1394 FireWire port, and a modem port.

The Avertec’s 2300 Series should be available everywhere soon at a price of $849.99 to $949.99.
