Asus W3J.jpgAsus added a new portable notebook to its W3 series of high-performance mobility machines, the W3J-H026P. It's a gaming notebook which is powered by high-end Intel Core Duo "Yonah' T2500 2.0GHz processor running on Microsoft Windows XP Professional. It's more than just a gaming machine with the 14-inch WXGA LCD with native resolutions of 1280 x 768 pixels. Operating a heavy application on the laptop is not a problem with its 2GB DDR2 667MHz RAM. The ATI Mobility x1600 is listed to at having 512MB but in fact this is only when HyperMemory kicks in, there's actually only 256MB of dedicated memory. Asus touts it as gaming on the go. The concept is pretty similar to the Zepto notebook, though that machine featured a nVidia GeForce Go 7600 chip. 100GB of 54RPM hard disk drive is more than enough for you to store up to a thousand videos and music files. On the surface, it has a built-in 8x Super-Multi DVD burner, 54mm PCI-Express card slot, three USB 2.0 ports, 4-in-1 memory card reader, S-Video output and IEEE 1394 FireWire port. also the ASUS W3J-H026P; includes a built-in Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 a/b/g miniPCI, IrDA and Bluetooth 2.0. The W3J weighs 5.0lbs with the size of 13" x 9.7" x 1.18". Having this hot gaming notebook is not cheap but I strongly think it's fully worth it.
