The new ASUS V1 Notebook Series is an ultra slim series of notebooks and comes with a detachable docking station which makes it really easy too hook up with different accessories, power and communication devices. This one too has all the Ultra secure features like Fingerprint Authentication, Trusted Platform Module and Exclusive ASUS Security Protect Manager. Via the ASUS Security Protect Manager, the user is able to setup multi-factor authentication requirements for data access of different security level.

The V1 Series is ideal for office use and is targeted at professionals. The series is powered by Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology (Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processors T7600/T7400/ T7200/T5600/T5500) and RAM can be up to 2GB. When it comes to the OS , users can choose either between the Windows XP Home or Windows XP Professional. For a high end graphical experience, ASUS has incorporated the ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 chipset and a 15.4" ZBD LCD with ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology.

The notebooks in the V1 series measures 36.3 x 26.3 x 2.5-3.57cm and weighs around 2.7kg (with traveler drawer).Some other features found on the new ASUS series include; 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth® V2.0+EDR, 3x USB 2.0, 1x Card Reader, 1x S/PDIF, 1x Express Card , 1x Fingerprint Reader and a choice between SATA 80/100/120 GB.
