The new R1F Tablet PC Series by ASUS is being marketed as Ultra Secure as it includes Fingerprint Authentication, Trusted Platform Module and Exclusive ASUS Security Protect Manager. Via the ASUS Security Protect Manager, the user is able to setup multi-factor authentication requirements for data access of different security level.

The R1F Series is extremely compact and thus offers true mobility. It sports a vibrant 13.3" WXGA Color Shine & Crystal Shine LCD with the patented ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology. The 180-degrees convertible LCD screen also lets one view the display from any angle which comes in handy when giving presentations or during meetings. It measures around 31.7 x 23.2 x 3.5cm and weighs 1.98 kgs.

The Tablet PC can be powered by any of the Intel® Core™ Duo Processor and also includes the Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset. Users can configure the series according to their needs and can choose between SATA 80/100/120 GB Hard Drives . The notebook comes bundled with a DigiPen stylus with an eraser end and mouse control buttons and includes the popular InfoPen software. It uses Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition as its Operating System and has a swappable ODD/ Super Multi drive. Some other features found on the R1F series include, 3x USB, 1x Express Card, 1x 8-in-1 Card-Reader, 1x Fingerprint Reader, 1x TPM (optional), 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth® V2.0 + EDR.
