ASUS has a new business laptop in the offing: the ASUS A8Je (I have to admit, the name had me stumped) features an Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 processor running at 1.83GHz, and bundled with 1GB DDR2 main memory.

The A8Je is equipped with a 14.1" WXGA display with oodles of brightness. Bluetooth 2.0+EDR is integrated onto the laptop which is a good thing. 802.11 a/b/g and Ethernet make up for the network interfaces.

The display is driven by an ATI Mobility Radeon X1450 graphics card with 256MB on-board memory, while storage is handled by the 80GB serial-ATA hard drive. For backup purposes, you also get a DVD Super-Multi drive for up to 11 formats of writing and reading.
