After the Archos 504 presentation at IFA there were more details that needed to be revealed, and so they were recently with more information on the Archos website. The 504 model is not just one of their Portable Media Players of the 4th generation, it's the one that has the biggest storage capacity which is 160GB but there is also a smaller version available with half the size – 80GB.

The TFT wide screen measures 4.3-inches, but in case that isn't big enough for you there is the possibility to buy the DVR Station that plays back the videos on a normal TV, this station which is an extra accessory is also able to charge the player and record from the TV plus other sources to a good MPEG-4 format. In terms of battery it can play up to 17 hours of music or 5 hours and a half of video, other features include the ability to read PDF files, the usual USB2.0 as interface and extra support to playback H.264 files with AAC sound.
