We recently saw the Archos 104 4GB MP player on the Whack. Well, turns out Archos has a lot more devices up their sleeve. Upcoming devices include Archos 404, 504 and 604 series of personal media players.

The Archos 404 is slated to have a 30-gig storage capacity, a voice recorder and a PDF reader. Supported formats include MP3, WMA and WAV, and video playback of XviD, DivX 4/5, MPEG4 and WMV9 are possible. The display is 3.5" wide and is capable of 320x240 pixels and 16 million colors.

The device sports integrated stereo speakers. Archos claims a battery life of 15 hours for audio playback or 4 hours of video. The Archos 604 has a bigger display (4.3" at 480x272 pixel resolution), but otherwise is pretty much same as the Archos 404.

The Archos 604 costs upwards of US $500, at least on this Swiss online store. The 404, on the other hand, costs US $435.
