Apple TV: Wireless Digital Media Center

There's are no surprises here. As announced in last year's "Its Show Time" event, Apple has announced more details and a shipping date for its much anticipated digital box.
The Apple TV (renamed from iTV) is computer that connects to your home TV system. You can watch movies that your purchased from the iTunes music store, as well as other multimedia content from your computer.
It wirelessly syncs with iTunes on your computer (PC or Mac). Files are streamed over for viewing on your wide screen display.
The design is reminiscent of the Mac mini. Instead of using the word Apple, An apple logo + the word TV appears on the top of the box.
The Apple TV comes with a 40GB HDD for storing content and is powered by an Intel processor. The interface is similar to that of Front Row and it also uses the regular Apple Remote.
Interfaces include HDMI, Component video, optical audio, and analog RCA stereo audio. The device is now available for pre order at the Apple website. It will begin shipping in February for $199.
