Apple iPod 60GB Photo
Apple's new iPod, incorporating video capabilities is out, and very hot right now. The 60 GB model comes in sleek black that's a beauty and the pearly white that is common to older generation iPods. But it's not music alone to your ears - now catch videos, including music videos, movies and television shows, on a crisp 2.5" 320x240 pixel TFT display. The long rumored video iPod is here in a killer package, allowing you to take your music, photos and videos on the move.
With a huge 60GB capacity drive, you can store up to 15,000 of your favorite songs, 25,000 photos or 150 hours of video. And the best part? A never-before 20-hour battery life. All this in a 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.55 inch package makes the new Apple iPod a must-have companion.
Only time will tell how frequently the video gets viewed on the small screen. With a compatible dock, however, you have the flexibility to connect the output to your television and watch photo slideshows and videos stored on your iPod. Supported audio formats include AAC, MP3, WAV and AIFF, and video formats include H.264 and MPEG-4 formats.
With the launch of iTunes 6, users can purchase more than 2,000 music video for $1.99 a pop, and six full-length films apart from television shows. Sync is via a USB 2.0 port, and the new iPod is, as usual, compatible with Mac OS X and Windows 2000/XP. Overall, a remarkable piece of hardware giving oodles of goodies to the user in one package.
Priced at $399, the new Apple iPod (60GB model) can be purchased online at Apple's website.
