Apple iPod 30-gigabyte VersionApple launched the new iPod in a 30 GB avataar. The new iPod allows you to watch videos on a 2.5" 320x240 pixel TFT display. As an audio player, the iPod could be used almost anywhere - driving on the way home, in the gym, inside the classroom. With video, the options are a bit limited. You can watch videos to kill time when commuting by bus for example.

With 30 GB hard drive capacity, you can store about 7,500 songs. The 30 GB model allows up to 14 hours of playback, 3 hours of slideshows with music or 2 hours of video playback - good for one movie. This may seem limited for all-day use, but then again, with USB charging, you can charge it without hassle in under 4 hours (for full charge) or 2 hours (for 80% capacity of charge).

At 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.43, the 30 GB model is much thinner than the 60 GB model. Supporting H.264 and MPEG-4 video formats, the iPod stands in a class of its own. The Apple Click Wheel interface enables single-thumb operation for accessing your library of photos, videos and of course, songs.

Priced at $299, the new Apple iPod 30GB Mp3 Player can be purchased online at Apple's website.
