Apple Adds Volume Limit Feature in iPodsAfter threatening lawsuits and broken eardrums, Apple today released a much-needed software update to the iPod nano and the fifth-gen iPod, allowing users to set a maximum volume limit. As an added precaution for kids, parents can also lock this setting with a combination code.

The best part is that the Volume Limit feature works with any headphone or accessory connected to the iPod, and even with the iPod Radio Remote. Version 1.1.1 of the update is available as a free download from Apple's website.

I'm sure you wouldn't want to be left behind. Go get the download and protect your ears - now you don't have any excuse! For additional information on safe listening, access www.apple.com/sound.
