Alienware Area-51 m5700 and m5500 Notebooks

Alienware announced two new notebooks, the Area-51 m5700 and Area-51 m5500, featuring Intel Centrino at the core of the device, targeted at gamers and multimedia enthusiasts.

The Area-51 m5700 boasts of an NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 graphics card, dual Serial ATA hard drives (available in RAID configuration) and Windows XP MCE (Media Center Edition). Of course, this isn't too great by itself; but add to it a striking 17" ClearView LCD, and you know you've got a desirable configuration on a notebook.

The Area-51 m5500, on the other hand, sports a 15.4" display and is available in a body that weighs six pounds. The m5700 is priced at US $1,399 and and the m5500 at $1,049. You can order them from Alienware's website.
