AgfaPhoto DC-735 Digital Camera

Agfa of yesteryears has granted license to plawa, a German consumer electronics manufacturer, for producing digital cameras under the Agfa brand name. It's not the approach most would approve of - I mean, Agfa is very well known for their film-based cameras, but having another company take on the digital space is something else.

The AgfaPhoto DC-735, a seven-megapixel camera, is one of the first ones from plawa. The usual 2.5" LCD monitor and 3x optical zoom apply - nothing new or breakthrough here. The DC-735 also offers a 4x digital zoom.

The DC-735 runs on Lithium-Ion batteries. It appears to be a bit thicker than you would like - at least in the pictures, but then, cameras are supposed to add 10 pounds on you, remember? Thankfully, it's light on the pocket, with prices ranging from €99 to €199 for the 5-to-10 megapixel range cameras.
