Acer unveiled another version of its Desktop Replacement series with the new Acer TravelMate 6410 laptop. With a wide 15.4" display powered by either an ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 graphics card or Intel GMA 950, the TravelMate 6410 is branded Vista Ready.
The TravelMate 6410 comes with a host of features to ensure data security and integrity. Acer's DASP+ (Disk Anti Shock Protection) technology prevents hard disk shocks. The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) ensures secure generation and management of crypto keys. Acer Platinum Secret security software provides a one-click option to encrypt/decrypt files.
Connectivity options include WLAN, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet and modem. Like the TravelMate 6460, the 6410 is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and is equipped with dual-channel DDR2 memory for faster performance.
Bundled software include CyberLink Power Producer, NTI CD Maker, Adobe Reader, Norton AntiVirus and of course pre-installed Windows XP Pro. No word on pricing yet.
