Acer P630 and P610 Personal Navigation Devices
Acer recently unveiled two new GPS Navigational devices, the Acer P610 and P630. Both of them are almost identical except that the P610 has the maps of France pre-loaded on the supplied 256MB SD memory card, where as its counterpart the P630 has maps of France as well as a number of European countries loaded on its supplied SD Card.
The new navigational devices by Acer have the GPS SiRF III LP with integrated antenna under its hood and a Samsung S3C2440A 400 MHz Processor. Both measure around 11.6 X 8.1 X 2.3 cm and weigh just about 195 grams. The new Acer P610 and P630 are also outfitted with a 4 inch Touch screen TFT which can display in the 16:9 aspect ratio and has a maximum resolution of 480 X 272 pixels.
Another feature which is found on the P630 and missing on the P610 is the Bluetooth profile. Thanks to this, one is able to indulge in hands free calling by synchronizing their mobile phones with the GPS device. Multimedia functions include an image viewer and a MP3 Player and there is a built in speaker too. Both devices come bundled with a car charger, mounting kit, and USB cable for synchronization. The P630 will be available in October for about 299 Euros and however no pricing details about P610.
