Acer CU-6530 Wins Red Dot Design AwardAcer's CU-6530 digital still camera has won the prestigious Red Dot for outstanding product design. Competing in the Media and Home Electronics category, the CU-6530 offers the right mix of innovation, functionality, durability and importantly, ergonomics.

This compact camera, designed with the concept of a wallet, fits comfortably in your pocket thanks to the smooth contoured design and soft edges. Boasting an impressive 6.36 megapixel resolution, it offers 3x optical zoom. The preview LCD is a large 2.5" screen.

Made of stainless steel casing, it weighs in at just 125 grams (almost as light as the cell phone in your pocket) and uses automotive paintwork, with a maximum thickness of 18mm. Controls and switches are easily accessible on the camera body. A USB interface is available to transfer images to the PC; cradling the camera allows for auto playback of images.

Congratulations, Acer! More details on the CU-6530 is available from Acer's website. Priced at £170.20 (US $300).
