Acer announced the new Acer Aspire 9503EWSMi notebook PC, targeting home users, SOHO and SMB environments. The Aspire 9503EWSMi features a 17" WXGA+ (1440x900) CrystalBrite color TFT LCD.

Powered by a 1.5GHz Intel Celeron M Processor 370 (1MB L2 cache, 400MHz FSB), the 9503EWSMi (just can't type it correctly - damn!) comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP home edition on an 80 gig hard drive. RAM stands at 512MB DDR2, although I would've been happier with 1GB (isn't that the minimum these days?). The included DVD-Super Multi drive takes care of your backup worries.

Like most other new notebooks, the Aspire 9503EWSMi comes with a 5-in-1 card reader supporting MMC/SD/mem stick/memstick PRO/xD-Picture Card. Also bundled are support for IEEE 802.11b/g and Gigabit LAN to satisfy your connectivity demands, and an integrated Bluetooth module, which is great. It also comes with Acer GridVista, a utility to automatically resize open app windows to fit the screen and Acer Arcade Software Suite for optimizing video.
