Accton SkyFone WM1185-T Cell Phone

Accton SkyFone WM1185-T Cell PhoneAccton announced their new Wi-Fi phone, the SkyFone WM1185-T, with Skype providing the VoIP. This means you don't need to be in front of a computer to make peer-to-peer phone calls.

MobileMag reports that while 5,000 SkyFones will ship in December for field testing, full shipment will only begin in Q1 2006. Expect it to be priced around US $150 (but it may fall down to $100 levels if production costs come down).

  • Making free Web calls: Users can use this particular mobile phone product to make peer-to-peer (P2P) Internet calls to any phone users in the world without having to switch on their computers
