The super durable disks comes with REV technology which is 8 times the speed of normal tape and EMC Retrospect Express software for professional-level backup with disaster recovery capability. It can be compressed up to 140GB of storage capacity on a single disk and it has a burst transfer rate up to 100 MB/sec. Transferring files from your computer won't be a problem via high-speed USB 2.0 connection which is also compatible with USB 1.1 connection. Let's take a peek at the performance side, it has a latency time of 7.1ms, spindle speed of 4200 rpm, start time 22 seconds, stop time of 6 seconds and media data transfer rate of 15 to 30 MB/sec. The 70GB USB 2.0 drive weights 390 grams with the size of 6.2" x 4.4" x 1.3". It is now available for pre-order at IOMega with the price of USD599.99. Getting the drive alone is half the job done, as an individual 70GB REV disk will set you back by $69. Save some greens by purchasing the four-pack for $249.
