Apple iPod Rumors

Apple iPod RumorsLet's go down the old rumor mill and see what's happening there these days, shall we? We heard not one but two rumors to satisfy your thirst for the iPod and its variants.

The first one is, Apparently, Apple is planning to introduce touch-screen interface for the iPods. Now there might actually be some truth in this one, as Apple has filed a patent for such an interface. Whether it'll make it to the next gen iPods or it will just serve to prevent others from releasing something similar is not yet known.

The iPod nano, on the other hand, is expected to come out in an all-new design, including a new Samsung processor. No clues if the on-board memory will be upgraded, but we can bet it's going to be bigger.

Panasonic DMC-TZ1 - Awarded the BEST Super Zoom Digital Camera For 2006 By TIPA

panasonic_lumix_dmc_tz1_digital_camera.jpgThe Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ1 digital camera has been awarded the TIPA photo & imaging award 2006. TIPA (Technical Image Press Association), the European 'Oscars' of the Photo & Imaging Industry, today awarded the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ1 as the Best Super Zoom Digital Camera.

Panasonic's DMC-TZ1, already having the tag of being world's smallest 10x optical zoom digital camera now has one more in its kitty. Quiet obviously one of the prize winning reasons was, the O.I.S(Optical Image Stabilizer) technology, which minimises the jitter from shaky hands that causes many photos to look blurred by shifting the O.I.S lens unit to keep the optical axis aligned straight against the CCD, to ensure images are always beautifully clear. Also another reason is the en-ablation of the TZ1 to shoot at a maximum setting of ISO800, with its new High Sensitivity Mode. This ingenious mode reduces image blur caused by moving subjects especially indoors by shooting at fast shutter speed. TIPA.com

It's a bit long and the guy kinda falls asleep at times, but I thought this was a pretty cool function for a phone. The video is possibly from Swedish company Wayfinder which is well known for its GPS navigation software and it introducing something like this very soon.
