macbooknew.jpgOh my god, the 13 inch Macbook is finally here and I for once can’t stop drooling. Yes boys and girls, roll out the red carpet because the 13" Apple MacBook has made its debut today and we have the entire lowdown. Before delving in to the tech specs lets just take a moment and talk about the design. The MacBook like all its family members looks good actually extremely good and has all the right curves. Highly chic , the Macbook drips of style and comes in two colors, one white and one black ( for a few extra bucks). Thus if you get your hands on this notebook, be ready for a lot of envious glares including mine!

This 13 inch notebook will also feature Apple’s new found love, the Intel Duo Core technology and comes in two models, one with 60GB HD and the other with 80GB HD. In fact according to Apple The dual-execution core Intel Core Duo processor gives MacBook up to five times the raw speed of even the fastest iBook .One can either opt for a 1.83GHz or 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo processor and as far as optical drives are concerned you can opt for Slot-loading Combo drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW): or Slot-loading SuperDrive with double-layer read support (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW). For enhanced graphical performance Apple has incorporated Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory chipset and all models include Built-in iSight camera with 640-by-480-pixel resolution. For Connectivity Apple has thrown in (and we very obliged) options like Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector) ,Built-in 54-Mbps AirPort Extreme wireless networking (based on 802.11g standard) and a Built-in Bluetooth 2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) up to 3 Mbps.

The MacBook (Dad if your reading this, I want one) is capable of 6 hours of battery back up and comes preloaded with software’s like OS X v10.4 Tiger (includes Spotlight, Dashboard, Mail, iChat AV, Safari, Address Book, QuickTime, iCal, DVD Player, Xcode Developer Tools) iLife ’06 (includes iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, iWeb, GarageBand), Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Test Drive, iWork (30-day trial), Big Bang Board Games, Comic Life, Omni Outliner, and Apple Hardware Test andFront Row.
