Recycle Your Old Wireless Phones and Save a Life
Admittedly, mobile carriers in the U.S. are notorious for constantly annoying their customers with their unfair policies and inefficient customer service. Still, there is a glimmer of hope with their social programs like Verizon Wireless Hopeline and its phone recycling program.
If you received a new mobile phone as a Christmas gift or plan to buy the top of the line handset, you might want to consider donating your old mobile phones, accessories or batteries to Hopeline and contribute in supporting victims of domestic violence. You don’t have to be a Verizon Wireless subscriber to do this because they accept all types of cellphones.
Under this program, mobile phones that can be refurbished are sold for reuse and those without value are disposed of in an environmentally sound way. Proceeds from the HopeLine program are used to provide wireless phones and cash grants to local shelters and other non-profit organizations that focus on domestic violence prevention and awareness.
Let's help make this holiday a very meaningful one with our simple mobile phones.
