Qipit – Capture Documents With Your Cell Phone

By Simon - 02/15/2009 1:34:37 PM

Qipit.com offers a free service that is very useful to anyone with a camera phone who has a need to capture documents, flip charts or whiteboards.

No more scribbling notes at the end of meetings, just snap a picture of the whiteboard or flip chart and then email it from your phone to Qipit. Their software will then scan the image and convert it to a .pdf file for you and email it to you.

This is great for both business users and students alike who need to capture notes from meetings or lectures.  If you have a newer cell phone with a camera that has auto-focus you can also capture documents. A good use for this is disaster preparedness, capture your marriage license, house title, vehicle documents etc.

Qipit.com will tell you what your cell phone is capable of with their phone selector – might even help you make your next cell phone buying decision.
