Pump One is a pretty popular app when it comes to fitness, and their last version, 2.4, included a Share Workout feature that allows users to email specific workouts to specific people. In other words, it is open source.

You can get Pump One at the Apple Store for about $9.99. In March, the company plans to introduce Fitness Builder Pro for personal trainers, which costs $19.99 per month. They also plan on releasing Fitness Builder PT for physical therapists for about $49.99 per month.
