PSP-2000 Playstation Portable Becomes Slimmer and Lighter
The new version of the PSP has been announced by Sony, and it comes with some new stuff that will please plenty of people. While the codename of the gaming system is PSP-2000, most people shorten its name to PSP2 and there is no problem with that. It will be available in the September all around the world including Japan, North America and Europe, for $200.
Design, shape and basic functions are the same as the first version, it still has the old 4.3-inch LCD screen. But the dimensions and its weight have been reduced, the PSP2 is 19 percent slimmer and 33 percent lighter than the PSP1, making the final product be 23mm thick and a have a weight of 280 grams.
A good addition in the new PSP is the video-out port, which provides the option to watch movies, view images, and play games, by using a TV. Additionally, the device has an enhanced feature to improve load-time on games. Another new feature is being able to charge the PSP2 while transferring data via USB from a PS3 or a PC.
The new PSP comes in three basic colors of "Piano Black", "Ceramic White", and "Ice Silver" to meet a variety of lifestyle and preferences for all ages.
