ProcessAway iPhone Software Offered to the PublicBy Brian - 02/17/2009 3:49:00 PM |
The ProcessAway software for iPhones allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to process credit cards directly from their device. And while compatible software with the iPhone normally passes through the AppStore, Rapadev made it clear that they have no intention of bypassing them.
“We have no intention of bypassing the Apple AppStore by selling directly to the public,” explains Randy Palermo, Member of Rapadev, LLC. “Apple does not communicate with developers on the status of a submitted application or timetable for approval. Some apps get approved within a few days, while others take months, seemingly with no explanation why. Our purpose is to allow merchants to start processing mobile transactions now and not subject them to the wait of Apple’s mysterious approval schedule.”
ProcessAway will be available from the company’s product website free of charge and will have an expiration date of 30 days. Rapadev will renew the trial period for as long as it takes Apple to include the software in the AppStore. After AppStore availability, the end-user will be required to purchase it through Apple if they desire to keep using it.
