Polk Audio Launches New Brand - Polk Audio Designs
The leader in car stereo and home theater performance audio is adding a new "sub": Polk Audio Designs. This new brand is mainly aimed at; iPod accessories, radios, audio systems and other mass-appeal products. You can find these new products and your existing favorites at any Polk Audio distributor.
Already on the market and can be found at your local RadioShack; the MiDock10(TM), is a portable iPod audio system, designed to deliver the best quality for only $199. Available in April, the MiDock Studio(TM) is a similar, but larger design. But for the latest in HD Radio and CD audio, you will have to wait until May to pick up the HDX3, with a nice price tag of $299.
These audio devices come standard with, 2 - 3.25 inch speakers, vented through the side to increase quality and bass response.
An interview on PR Newswire with Jim Herd (president of Polk Audio) let us know that the aim of Polk Audio Designs, "Specifically we're thinking of those consumers who are not audio hobbyists but who comprise an important segment of the market. Our engineering group has applied Polk's core acoustic competence to product configurations targeted at emerging trends in audio-listening like iPod/MP3 players and the new radio formats."
