In an amazing turn of events we have come into possession of some serious information which will shock you to the core. If you’re not sitting down please do so. What you are about to find out might make you faint.
Steve Ballmer said he isn’t responsible for any problems caused by Windows Vista or the “Vista Capable” computers. He did so under oath in the trial that concerns exactly those capable computers.
I was not involved in any of the operational decisions about the Windows Vista Capable program. I was not involved in establishing the requirements computers must satisfy to qualify for the Windows Vista Capable program.
Who was responsible?
Jim Allchin, Microsoft’s then co-president of Platform Products and Services, and Will Poole, Microsoft’s then Senior Vice President, Windows Client Business….I did not direct Mr. Allchin or Mr. Poole to reach any particular business decision. Mr. Allchin and Mr. Poole remained responsible for maintaining and executing those decisions.
Are you still standing? Think of all those times you blamed Ballmer for Microsoft’s Vista! Now I am starting to think he was bullied into releasing Vista and then he was bullied into promoting it. That would explain his sweating habit…
