Pay-as-you-go mobile service exclusively for tweens from kajeet
Kajeet(TM) A new pay-as-you-go cell phone and wireless service has been launched by Kajeet, created specifically with kids in mind. The Kajeet service allows Parents to be in control of their kid’s mobile experience.
There are many features the service provides to keep parents in control of phone usage. All kajeet phones include virtual wallets, which allow the parents to decide what the kids pay for. For example, parents would most likely pay for calls and text to family but not for calls or texts to friends in effect making their kids pay for their personal use of the phone. Parents can also decide what times the phone can and can’t be used the Time Manager feature, who can call or cant call the phone, and even what features the service provides can be accessed.
Kajeet offers a variety of services including voice, text, picture, and instant messaging to keep kids connected to family and friends. It also gives families great rates for a pay-as-you-go service; 5 cents per text message (sent and recieved), 10 cents per minute of talk, Picture Messaging for 25 cents (sent and received), and unlimited Mobile AIM for $6.99/month. Also for just 35 cents a day, customers can receive unlimited use of the kajeet Configurator, free browsing on kajeet Navigator, Google Maps for Mobile, and kid-friendly Customer Care. Customers are free from long-term contracts, activation fees, termination fees, roaming and long distance fees, and hidden charges or fees.
Wireless coverage is provided by the Sprint PCS Network. The kajeet service and phones can be purchased on their website and will be available nationwide at Best Buy stores by May 1 and also Limited Too stores in early April.
