PaPeRo-mini
NEC recently launched PaPeRo-mini to give a new dimension in information appliances used in home. PaPeRo-mini supports efficiency balance of the whole system to which it is connected. NEC, the small-sized robot is using the audio conversational module as the main processor with PaPeRo-mini on an experimental basis. Meeting the latest trends in the technology, PaPeRo-mini sports features like speech recognition and control, face recognition, CG indication and network communication of conversation.
The unique RT middleware cooperation function of PaPeRo-mini can be used from outside the device. Moreover, the network communication facility of integration actualizes the cooperation of PaPeRo-mini. The know-how, information of technology development and packaging for PaPeRo-mini is very easy to understand even for the first time users. The latest results of PaPeRo-mini will be announced in the Akita base center to be held in ROBOMEC 2007 from May 10th to 12th.
