Mine also restarts when testing and when you open the keyboard slowly the screen turns the wrong way but after a few second it turns back

I have had the matrix for a year and it is really good and durable (I would know I have dropped it a lot!!!!) it does get problems though (but I thought it was funny when my friend was like is it supposed to do this? And it was slid open both ways at the same time!)

I love the phone, the only thing that drives me nuts is that the signal sucks. I cannot use it in my house, at my college or many of my friends homes. What is up with that?

Phone started off just fine but turned out to be real garbage.Wall charger doesnt work,phone shuts off while im talking,screen turns white,paint is fading on the sides and peeling on top.pantech will not warranty phone cause because of the peeling and paint fading.I have had this junk phone for 6 months and I cant get another because the paint is peeling and fading.Like its my fault they made a rotten product.bottom line,buy cheap,get cheap.Pantech will not stand behind their phones.

I’ve had the Matrix since February and never had a problem with it until yesterday when the screen went completely white for no reason! I didn’t drop it, spill anything on it, step on it, or anything. Headed straight to Cingular when I get off work. I do not want this phone again and I definitely don’t recommend it.

I agree this phone SUCKS! I just bought one off eBay that was supposedly NEW . I put my SIM card in it and try to set up my email,contacts, etc… and the F_cking thing just keeps rebooting! I wanted to smash it off a wall! I have a iPhone already so I think i’ll stick with that. I just got caught up in the whole slider keyboard thing. What a joke! To make it even better the dumb bitch that sold me this POS wont give me a refund. I’m thinking of taking a shit on it and mailing it back! LOL TO ALL PEOPLE THINKING OF BUYING ONE OF THESE CHEAP ASS PHONES…..DON’T! STICK WITH A BLACKBERRY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT….DON’T BUY A SLIDER!!!!!IN PARTICULAR A DUO OR ANY OTHER PANTECH POS!!!!

uh yeah, i started off with the duo about 4 months ago and within a few weeks it stopped working and completely fell apart, wouldn’t charge etc. so i decided to try the “updated version” the matrix. it worked fine for a few weeks and then the screen went completely white. i sent it back and got a new one. and the exact thing happened. i really wish i would have read this page before because all of the other reviews were raving about how amazing this phone is. i think it’s a little ridiculous that i have had to buy three new phones in the past 4 months when i had my razr for almost 2 years before it started having problems. if you are thinking about buying the matrix DO NOT BUY IT. unless you want to waste your money on a phone that is “pretty” but doesn’t work longer than a few weeks.

DO NOT BUY THE MATRIX. I BOUGHT MINE AND IT FREZZES SO MUCH I CANT SAVE MY PICS TO MY SD CHIP I HATE IT I HAVE A WHOLE YEAR LEFT AND ITS FALLING APART THIS IS MY 3RD MATRIX WOW AND ITS BEEN A YEAR. SOMETIMES MY TXTS COME A HOUR LATER THAN THE PERSON SENT IT. THE SCREEN IS ALWAYS FROZE WHEN I SLIDE THE KEY BOARD OUT IT IT TAKES FOREVER FOR THE SCREEN TO TURN OR SOMETIMES IT NEVER TURNS SO YA AND YA AT&T IS GREAT AT REPLACEING THEM BUT I HAVE REPLACED IT 3 TIMES I MEAN HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD I HAVE TO REPLACE IT. I DO NOT RECOMMENED THE MATRIX TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A PHONE LONGER THAN A MONTH.

This phone really does suck. I’ve has it since it came out and it’s terrible. I treat it fine and it messes up. The thing won’t send texts half the time when it says I have full service and getting it to send a picture message is even worse. I’ll be sitting in one spot not even move and the signal jumps around. One second it’s full bars then it’s got no signal. Then yesterday I was sending a text and the whole keypad like locked up. I couldn’t press any off the buttons. Seriously do not waste your time and money on this piece of junk.

this phone sux….ive treated it really good when i text with the keyboard the screen will jus go blank and then it will restart itself…its becoming really loose when i flip it to the keyboard…when i flip it up it take a while for the screen to come on..also when im talkin to someone on the phone they say they cant hear me or they hear a lot of static( i have good service to when this happens) when im talking on the phone the other person cuts in and out…ive had this phone for a bout 6 months now and didnt have any problems till out a month ago..i dont want another phone like this one i want a whole new phone..i DO NOT recommend it..im taking it back friday hopefully ill be able to get a new one..

you guys say all theses problems ever thought the phone doesnt like you this phone never has problems the reboot thing is becuz ur sim chip isnt in all the way that the reason it keeps rebooting its self becuz its unable to find the sims and if it still doesnt work you need to buy a new chip either because the chip is to old for the phone

I just bought this phone today and I already don’t like that the ringtones I record myself aren’t loud enough to hear, the keys are slippery and I have a hard time typing on them.
After reading all of these problems my mind is made up, it’s going back and I’m reverting back to my old phone.

I got my matrix for valentines day this year, and the first day I had it and was texting it did it’s re-boot thing, it does it like 2-3 times a day almost everyday, I officially hate this phone it’s a piece of crap…I was wondering if it was just mine that did it but I guess not, this phone is annoying and it sucks, so I’m getting a completely different phone.
