Pantech C610: Basic cellphone at AT&T

AT&T has added another entry-level cellphone to their big catalog, the Pantech C610. In case you don’t remember, the cellphone was approved by FCC back in May this year.

The C610 flip phone will be available in one color – flame red – and cost approximately $50 with the AT&T contract + rebate. If you pick the non-traditional route of no contract, the price goes way up to $250.

As for the phone itself, it is pretty basic. The C610 sports a 1.3-megapixel camera, an old-school version of Bluetooth 1.2, and an expandable memory storage of 4GB when using a microSD memory card. The music player supports popular formats such as MP3, AAC, or WAV, and to make the multimedia experience more complete, there are music subscription services like Napster Mobile and eMusic.

Other features:

- Instant Messaging – AOL, Yahoo, and Windows Live Messenger.
- 3 hours of battery in talking mode, or 10 days in stand-by mode
- 2.0-inches display screen
