Pantech Breeze Cell Phone Review–Simplicity Made PhoneBy Steve Anderson - 03/09/2010 12:01:43 AM |
Simplicity, folks–it’s a downright virtue these days. So when I tell you about the Pantech Breeze, the best thing I can say about it is that it’s simple.
The Pantech Breeze is a folder cell phone with conference call capability, a .3 megapixel digital camera (yes, that’s point three), hearing aid compatibility, a web browser, a photo book with capacity for eight hundred name and number records, speaker phone, alarm clock, notepad, calendar, voice recorder, calculator, mobile email, several game demos, a weather application, a battery capable of yielding three hours of talk time on a single charge, and what caught my eye most of all, a magnifying glass.
No, seriously–this phone will actually allow you to use the camera lens as a permanently-zoomed camera that displays to the phone’s main screen, essentially functioning as a magnifying glass.
I don’t like to come right out and say “this is a great cell phone for old people”, but I think it just might be. The phone is simple to use, laid out very easily, and looks nice. It’s not too lacking for features but shouldn’t be prohibitively confusing to learn. It boasts options that would be great for older folks–that magnifying glass is a GREAT idea; imagine offering that special parent, grandparent or other elder the ability to make ANYTHING large-print with the touch of a button.
So if you’re looking for something simple, easy to use, yet not lacking for options, then the Pantech Breeze might be exactly what you want.
The Good
Plenty of options
Easy to use
Simple layout
The Bad
Missing a few normally standard options
Score 8 / 10
