Fast Company’s “Geek of the Year” award has always been accepted well among geeks and tech enthusiasts, and in 2009, it was Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein who received the honor, mostly for his work on the Palm Pre and WebOS. The other nominees were Evan Williams and Biz Stone of Twitter, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Neill Blomkamp of the movie District 9.
