Packard Bell Announces “dot” NetbookBy Maverick - 09/23/2008 3:16:36 PM |
Further saturating the netbook market, Packard Bell today announced the “dot”, an 8.9 inch netbook that is a clone of every other netbook out there in the market right now.
Built around the same Intel Atom processor found in other netbooks, the dot will include a 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and a 6-cell battery for extended battery life. There will also be a webcam and 3G for net addicts.
And yes, it will come installed with Windows XP. No Linux for you.
The dot is set for release this November in Europe for around 315GBP, which comes to about $580, though I believe the price will be cut for the US release.
